Women’s Day Celebration – 8th March 2025

The Women’s Day Celebration at Sri Krishna Degree College was held on 8th March 2025, with the theme of promoting gender equality and women empowerment. The event served as a platform to recognize and honor the invaluable contributions of women in various spheres of life while encouraging students to build a more inclusive and respectful society.

The celebration featured insightful sessions on investment planning and women’s safety, delivered by distinguished guests. Mr. Bhujagasayana Nandyala, SEBI SMART Trainer, enlightened students on smart investment strategies, emphasizing the importance of financial literacy and independence for women. Ms. Gowramma N, Police Constable, shared valuable guidance on women’s safety, social media awareness, and ways to overcome everyday challenges. She was felicitated and honored for her commendable service and dedication.

The event was presided over by Dr. M. Rukmangada Naidu, Founder Chairman, Sri Krishna Group of Institutions, who delivered an inspiring address on the importance of mutual respect, equality, and empowerment. Prof. Venugopal highlighted the significance of education in ensuring women’s independence, while Prof. S.P. Manohar and the Academic Director emphasized the pivotal role of women in shaping society and the need to acknowledge their contributions.

Principal Dr. N. Ushakumari addressed the gathering, urging students to cultivate a culture of respect, empathy, and support for women both within and beyond the institution.

Faculty members and students from UG and PG programs actively participated in the event, making it a meaningful and inspiring celebration. The program not only celebrated the achievements of women but also reaffirmed Sri Krishna Degree College’s commitment to fostering empowerment, equality, and awareness among its students.
