National Voters Day and National Youth Day Celebrations





The National Voters Day and National Youth Day Celebrations were held with great enthusiasm and patriotism at Sri Krishna Degree College on 25th January 2025. The event brought together two significant national observances, highlighting the values of civic responsibility, democracy, and youth empowerment. The celebration aimed to inspire students to actively engage in the nation-building process while fostering awareness about their rights and responsibilities as citizens.

The program began with the National Voters Day Celebration, observed under the theme “Empowering Young Voters for a Stronger Democracy.” The event commenced with a pledge-taking ceremony, where students, faculty, and staff vowed to uphold the principles of democracy and exercise their right to vote responsibly. This was followed by an enlightening lecture delivered by the Principal of SKDC, who emphasized the importance of voting, explained the electoral process, and discussed the vital role that youth play in shaping the future of the nation.




The celebrations continued with the National Youth Day segment, themed “Channeling Youth Energy for Nation-Building.” This part of the program honored the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, whose teachings continue to inspire generations. Students and faculty paid tribute to his ideals of self-confidence, service, and dedication to social progress. Motivational talks by NSS Officer Mr. Avinash and Dr. Chowdaiah encouraged students to take up leadership roles and contribute meaningfully to their communities and the nation at large.

The event also featured a series of vibrant cultural performances, including skits, dance, and musical presentations by students, all centered around the theme of youth as the driving force of social transformation. To further enrich the celebration, a career guidance workshop was conducted, focusing on opportunities for young individuals in governance, leadership, and public service.

The twin celebration of National Voters Day and National Youth Day served as a powerful reminder of the collective strength and potential of India’s youth. Sri Krishna Degree College continues to uphold its commitment to nurturing responsible citizens and empowering students through such meaningful initiatives that blend knowledge, inspiration, and civic engagement.
