Inauguration Ceremony of the Skies Tech Club of BCA





The Inauguration Ceremony of the Skies Tech Club of BCA was held with great enthusiasm and pride on 13th December 2024 at Sri Krishna Degree College. The event marked a significant milestone for the Department of Computer Applications (BCA), celebrating innovation, teamwork, and leadership among students. The occasion was graced by distinguished dignitaries — Dr. M. Rukmangada Naidu, Founder Chairman of SKIET; Mr. S. P. Manohar, Academic Director of SKDC; Dr. Ushakumari N, Principal of SKDC; and Mr. D. S. Kannan, Head of the Department of Computer Science.






The program commenced with a formal inauguration ceremony that included an invocational song, a warm welcome address, and the lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the beginning of a bright and progressive journey for the Skies Tech Club. Following this, Mr. D. S. Kannan, Head of the Department, presented the Annual Report of the BCA Department for the academic year 2023–2024, highlighting the department’s achievements, activities, and milestones that showcased the continuous growth and commitment to excellence.

A major highlight of the event was the Investiture Ceremony, where badges were conferred upon Class Representatives, Skies Tech Club Representatives, Cultural Representatives, and Sports Representatives. This moment symbolized the recognition of leadership, dedication, and responsibility among students. The ceremony was followed by an Oath-Taking Session, where the newly appointed representatives pledged to perform their duties with integrity, enthusiasm, and commitment toward the club’s vision and the department’s growth.

The dignitaries addressed the gathering with inspiring speeches — the Principal’s Address by Dr. Ushakumari N, the Academic Director’s Address by Mr. S. P. Manohar, and the Chief Guest Address by Dr. M. Rukmangada Naidu. Their motivational words encouraged students to embrace innovation, teamwork, and a lifelong passion for learning.

The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event. Guests and attendees were treated to delightful refreshments, including coconut burfi and mixture, adding a perfect sweet and savory touch to the memorable occasion.

To make the event even more engaging, the Department of Computer Science organized skill-enhancing competitions, including a Puzzle Challenge, Logo Finding Contest, and a vibrant Group Dance Performance. These events received enthusiastic participation, reflecting the creativity, talent, and team spirit of the students.





The Inauguration of the Skies Tech Club 2024 was a grand success, celebrating unity, leadership, and innovation. The department extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this event possible and looks forward to many more milestones as the Skies Tech Club continues to soar to new heights of excellence and creativity.
